Better than Botox – Facial Rejuvenation with Acupuncture

Word is spreading that there is something else out there which helps you look younger – and not an injection needle or a surgeon's knife in sight!  A select few of the "people in the know" have discovered that a qualified Acupuncturist who has undergone additional specialist training in Cosmetic Acupuncture holds the secret to younger-looking skin in their hands.

So, what happens during a Facial Rejuvenation Treatment? 

At the beginning of the first treatment, the full medical history of the patient is taken as lifestyle and medical conditions are reflected on the face. The treatment starts out with needles being used on the relevant body points which will support the effectiveness of the facial acupuncture.  Once this part of the treatment is complete and the needles have been removed, ultrafine single-use sterile needles are applied to the face where the lifting and smoothing effect is required.  This may feel slightly uncomfortable but is usually painless. 

These facial needles will stay in place for about 30 minutes and will be manipulated at regular intervals to help achieve the desired results. 

During a demonstration of Cosmetic Acupuncture Gerda attended, a patient had her eyebrows lifted by about 2 mm within 10 minutes.

Gerda can personally verify that even a single treatment is effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines but a course of 8 – 10 treatments is usually required to give results which may be equivalent to a facelift.
