She has also undergone post-graduate training in Cosmetic Acupuncture and Neuro-Muscular Taping, Zita West Training for Acupuncture and Fertility as well as many other courses (for further details see the Training Page). Gerda has been an Affiliated Acupuncturist Member of the Zita West Network for Reproductive Health since 2010 (see www.zitawest.com for further details) and one of her specialities is treating patients, both male and female, with fertility issues.
After a successful career in IT and IT Audit, Gerda came to Acupuncture through personal experience of its power as the Healer of the Whole You. It helped her tremendously through the very difficult period of her husband’s illness and death and gave her the strength to carry on.
When the time came to decide what to do with her life, she wanted to give something back and give other people the opportunity to benefit from the healing power of Acupuncture.
In her practice, she has seen what Acupuncture can do to heal a person’s mind, body and spirit and help to make them whole again, especially after a bereavement, divorce or stress in personal or working life as well as benefit patients with a wide range of physical ailments and pain.
The British Acupuncture Council is a registering body for professional acupuncturists whose aim is to ensure the health and safety of the public at all times. This is done by maintaining high standards of education, ethics, discipline and practice. Acupuncturists registered with the British Acupuncture Council carry the letters MBAcC after their name.
